HAVE YOUR SAY IN BUCKLAND'S FUTURE

Many residents will have a green A4 size booklet entitled “Parish Plan” (this can also be found within this website). Mine is now very scruffy. You will see that this was put together nearly 10 years ago, stating hopes and aspirations for the community. This was not just some document put together by a Parish Council on a rainy day, but was compiled after consultation with the parish.

Much water has gone under the bridge since then including global recession, severe cutbacks in our NHS & welfare, people moving on, and much more, including environmental matters, that seems so much part of another world but has had a knock-on impact on our lives-some hopes and dreams are no longer possible, some have been achieved and now feel like a distant memory.

Your Parish Council wants to completely redefine the plan but as before, they want to include opinion and input from the residents of Buckland Brewer – this will ensure that as the plan is drawn up and enacted over the coming years, you all have made a contribution and had your say. It may even be that for those who want to be involved, there may be active tasks that you can help with and advise on.

COME ALONG AND TAKE PART – Wednesday 31st January, Buckland Brewer Hall, 7.30 p.m.

The meeting, which will be the first of 5 opportunities for us all to become involved , will be led by Martin Rich of Devon Communities Together – he has the experience to help us all gather our collective thoughts into a document, hopefully a meaningful and realistic plan, which is unique and bespoke to Buckland Brewer.

See you all there!

p.s. If you want to go but have problems getting there, ring Jim on 01237 451193 – he will his best to help....and tell your friends - this is too important to miss
