Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service

If anyone dials 999 from Buckland Brewer then you may expect to wait at least 15-20 minutes for a response because of manning up and travel.  The Service offers a free “home fire check” and also free alarms for smoke and carbon monoxide, the silent killer – this is so essential for anyone who is burning any sort of fuel – this includes open fires, log burners, oil & gas boilers etc. They are also able to refer on for “alert gadgets” which help those who remove hearing aids at night.

Make that call! –all that’s needed for the visit is about 45 minutes of your time to give you peace of mind.

Prevention is better than cure. For a free home safety check call 0800 05 02 999 or click here
